Simon Announces First UK Tour!

Fresh from the massive success of his debut solo album 'Sanctuary' and his new album 'Grace', it was announced today that Simon will embark on his first ever live tour of the UK in spring 2007!.

Tickets are priced at £23.50 for all venues except London Hammersmith where tickets are £25.00.

Simon will perform tracks from his critically acclaimed solo albums 'Sanctuary' and 'Grace'. The albums have so far spawned the hit singles 'No Worries', 'Lay Your Hands', 'After All This Time' and 'Coming Around Again'.

The past year has been huge for Simon, with his first album 'Sanctuary' going the double platinum, followed by phenomenal international solo success with sales across Europe and Asia, culminating in Simon picking up the 'Best Breakthrough Act' award at the MTV Asia Awards.

Simon has just released his second solo album 'Grace' to rave reviews. The album is a collection of twelve perfectly crafted pop songs moulded in the sound Simon himself calls 'urban folk'.

Simon European Promo

Simon will be jetting off to Milan in Italy on Wednesday for appearances on MTV TRL and CD LIVE. He'll be back there on Monday next week also for another TV appearance!
 

French fans will be pleased to hear that Simon will be in Paris on 22nd November for promo. Simon will also be visiting Germany from 30th November - 3rd December for TV and Radio promo.

Simon WebbeFORMER Blue star Simon Webbe would jump at the chance to light up the dancefloor on Strictly Come Dancing.

 

The 27-year-old, who spent much of his youth living in Bordesley Green and who switches on Birmingham's Christmas lights tomorrow, was bitten by the ballroom bug when he appeared on the Saturday night show performing his latest single, Coming Around Again.

 

"I thought I had rhythm but those professional dancers are brilliant," he enthuses. "It's not the sort of dancing I'd normally do so it would be a real challenge for me."

Simon says he's had many inquiries from television companies asking him to take part in reality shows.

 

"Most of them don't fit in with my schedule and I'd only be interested in the ones that involved some physical effort like Come Dancing.

 

"I was in the first series of The Match, which was great because I managed to score a goal. But programmes like Celebrity Big Brother and Celebrity Love Island are not my thing. I don't like being spied on."

 

Not that Simon can avoid the publicity spotlight at the moment.

 

His second solo album, Grace, is released on Monday which means an endless round of promotions and performances.

 

"My career's going really well and although there have been rumours about Blue reuniting it's not on the cards right now," says Simon, who is planning to do a solo tour next summer.

Simon Is 'Coming Around Again'!
 
Simon is back with a brand new single 'Coming Around Again' released on 30th October 2006!
 
Fresh from the massive success of his debut solo album 'Sanctuary', Simon Webbe triumphantly returns to the airwaves this winter with 'Coming Around Again', released through Innocent Records on 30th October 2006.

'Coming Around Again' is an uplifting slice of soulful pop. The track features bright acoustic guitars, beautiful gospel harmonies and a driving groove, alongside Simon's now trademark smooth vocals.

Simon says of the track, "'Coming Around Again' is a reminder of the highlights in your life, basically 'the good old days'. It was the football season when I wrote the song, so I had the World Cup in mind. The feeling and atmosphere at the time sparked the idea for the song. It's an uplifting track that generates positive feeling."

'Coming Around Again' is the first track to be taken from Simon's second solo album, due for release on 13th November. The track was written and produced by Simon, Matt Prime and Tim Woodcock, the team behind all three of Simon's previous solo hit singles.

The last year has been huge for Simon, selling over 700,000 copies of his debut album 'Sanctuary'. The album spawned three hit singles including the two Top 5 hits, 'Lay Your Hands' and the massive radio hit 'No Worries' (the track spent an amazing five weeks in the Top 10, hitting No.2 on the airplay chart).

2006 saw Simon achieve international solo success with sales across Europe and Asia, culminating in Simon picking up the 'Best Breakthrough Act' award at the MTV Asia Awards.

Now with the release of 'Coming Around Again' and an undeniably strong second solo album, Simon has without doubt cemented his position as a one of the UK's leading singer/songwriters and a solo music force to be reckoned with.
